ALA

A Permaculture, Nature-Based Coaching Programme

Why is it called ALA?

ALA stands for Activate Living Abundance.

When we carry out actions, things happen, changes are made. You've probably heard the saying, "Mood follows action...."  When we are feeling low, anxious or depressed, changing the 'activity' we are doing in that moment, can shift our mindset, towards feeling more energised and in a better place mentally.

Coaching is goal orientated. In order to achieve our goals, or you could call it, obtain Abundance, we need to take steps towards those goals. We can't do it without taking action, without Activating ourselves. This helps us to live the life we want to. We are the only ones who can decide which direction to take. By Applying Self Regulation and Accepting Feedback, we can choose to make the choices that are right for us and take action, whilst learning from the growth that has taken place.

My coaching programme is an opportunity to design the life you want using

Nature-Based Coaching and Permaculture Design

How does the word action or activate make you feel? Either of these words indicate doing, having movement. Coaching is forward focused and action based. Permaculture's philosophy is one of re-framing our thinking, to find solutions to the problems we face. Both complement each other well.

When you add Nature into this language, it instills growth, renewal and abundance. Permaculture is a natural design science which mimics the patterns in Nature. You might find you first learn about Permaculture through gardening, most people do. Through the 3 ethics of Permaculture, it helps us to look at how everything in nature is connected, creating beneficial relationships, whilst working as one system. This is how define my coaching process, using Nature as my co-coach to work with you towards a positive outcome.

Future Care

ALA is also the name of the Earth Goddess in Igbo culture. I wanted to honour the cultural diversity that has become part of my family as a new generation is born.

Being an environmentalist and Earth Protector, this seemed to be a fitting name for the programme, reflecting the connection between both.
