Examples of Permaculture in Action

Land Based.

The Allotment Plot started with plot 163b. It has grown to include to extra allotments. The technique used for this design are the food forest system, with annuals integrated into the design. Soil is built using sheet mulching with cardboard and straw and potatoes and straw.

Using Permaculture Design to Create an Educational and Mental Health Community Garden

The Harmony Garden Community garden was originally created as a Permaculture LAND learner. It's main focus was to make Permaculture Education accessible to all, and to provide a place to support people with their mental health.

Since I have stopped facilitating the garden and handed over to other members of the community, the garden is no longer a LAND project. However the yield which came from the garden, created connections and friendships for those who attended it, gave them an opportunity to learn the basics of Permaculture Design, and also lead to some people creating their own community projects such as Peter and Green Fingers.
